My name is Morgan Pertler and I am a 1st grade teacher, technology leader, and lifelong learner.  I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University with a focus in Language Arts.  I also received a ZS endorsement which specializes in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.  I completed my student teaching in Southfield, MI at Vandenberg Elementary School.  After that, I was hired at Bemis Elementary School in Troy, MI as a kindergarten teacher.  From there I looped up to 1st grade and have been there ever since.  I am currently the technology integration leader for my building.  Within this role I help teachers to find ways to integrate technology in meaningful ways, as well as to hold professional development sessions at the building and district level.  I am almost done with my masters degree from Michigan State University in the Art of Teaching with a focus in technology and reading.  I hope to continue to find leadership opportunities in my field in the future!
